No chat? This is how to solve it

Chatting, it’s a part of GamePoint. It is quite inconvenient when your chat suddenly stopped working overnight. We have been contact by multiple users who asked us how to solve this. We did some research and it appears that those affected are using a program called Norton 360. We found a temporary solution to take part in the chat once more.

Step 1
If you can no longer chat, please do check if you are using Norton 360. This step by step explanation is specifically aimed at users with this program installed. If you do not use Norton 360 and you still can’t chat, please do get in touch with us. We’re happy to help.

Step 2
Open Norton 360 and click on the top right corner on ‘settings’.

Step 3
At General Settings' click on the configuration button of ‘trusted devices’ (name could be slightly different per version) and click on the ‘add’ button.

Step 4
You are now going to add GamePoint to your trusted list.

Name: GamePoint Chat
Fill in the IP address: 91.212.176.254
Set the trust level on the highest level.
Do not forget to check the checkbox at the bottom. This is important!
Add the device and click on ‘confirm’ or ‘yes’ on the next screen.

Step 5
Aaaand you’re done! Close everything, including your browser, return to GamePoint and your chat should work!
